Hobart City Discovery
霍巴特市区一日游

THE EXPERIENCE
Hobart wears its history openly — convict-built bridges, sandstone warehouses, and a working harbour that still smells of salt and timber. This unhurried day weaves through the city's most storied corners, from the bustle of Salamanca's Saturday market to the quiet 1820s lanes of Richmond, finishing with the panoramic sweep from the summit of Mt Wellington — a thousand metres above the city you've just spent the day exploring.

THE JOURNEY
Detailed Itinerary
Salamanca Markets
萨拉曼卡集市(仅周六)
Tasmania's flagship Saturday market fills the sandstone Salamanca Place with over 300 stalls — local cheese, leatherwood honey, hand-turned wood, and live music. Allow 60-90 minutes to wander and graze.
Richmond Village
里士满小镇
A 25-minute drive from Hobart lands you in Australia's third-oldest village, frozen in 1820s Georgian charm. Optional stops include the Hobart Zoo and a small aquarium for families travelling with children.
Richmond Gaol
里士满监狱
Australia's oldest intact gaol, built by convicts in 1825. The original cells, women's quarters, and solitary confinement chambers remain — Ryan brings the convict era to life with stories drawn from prison records.
Richmond Bridge
里士满石拱桥
Australia's oldest stone bridge still in daily use, completed by convict labour in 1825. Worth slowing down for — the arches reflecting in the Coal River make one of Tasmania's most photographed scenes.
St John's Catholic Church
天主教堂
Australia's oldest continuously operating Catholic church, consecrated in 1837. A short, contemplative stop with original colonial-era stained glass.
Constitution Dock
宪法码头
Hobart's working harbour, finishing line of the legendary Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. Fishing boats, fish-and-chip punts, and a constant rotation of yachts give it its name.
Cascade Brewery
Cascade 啤酒厂
Australia's oldest continuously operating brewery, in production since 1824. The Gothic-revival sandstone building set against Mt Wellington is a photograph in itself, with optional tasting on request.
Mt Wellington Summit
惠灵顿山顶
1,271 metres above Hobart with a 360-degree view across the city, the Derwent estuary, and the Tasman Peninsula on a clear day. Wind exposed even in summer — bring a jacket.
